Empowering the Bottom of the Pyramid with Technology and Innovation!

In 2019, after returning to India with an M.Sc. in Bioeconomy from Germany, I faced the dual challenges of reverse culture shock and a seemingly simple yet complex question: 

"How many FPOs are there in India?" 

What started as a straightforward inquiry led me to an intensive two-month exploration of the FPO ecosystem, involving desk research and mastering data visualization tools.

This journey culminated in something far beyond a standard presentation. I developed an interactive dashboard for our team, moving beyond traditional reporting methods. The process required gathering, cleaning, and transforming data from 14 diverse government sources, creating a comprehensive PowerBI report that displayed the FPO landscape like never before.

Furthering my excitement, the proposal to evolve this internal tool into a public dashboard for FPOs in India was met with a solid approval from the TCI office and our donor, The Walmart Foundation. This pivotal moment steered me toward the realm of Digital Public Goods, marking the start of my unexpected foray into product management. Focused on aiding small-holder farmers, this experience carved out my path in the sector known as Tech for Global Development.
